A robotics and AI vision platform, Orbbec launches Ethernet-enabled Gemini 335Le. It is a high-reliability stereo vision camera solution designed for robots operating in industrial environments.
Orbbec’s Gemini 330 Series of depth cameras will now collectively support all three mainstream interfaces, across USB3, GMSL2 and Ethernet, making it industry’s first. By providing such versatility of interfaces across its products, Orbbec is not only meeting customer’s needs today but also helping to push the boundaries of vision solutions for next-generation robotics.
The Gemini 335Le is the latest addition to the Gemini 330 stereo vision camera series for industrial robotic vision applications, such as industrial picking robotic arms, autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), and forklifts. It builds upon the exceptional depth performance of the Gemini 335L, featuring industrial-grade interfaces that ensure real-time, stable, and high-quality stereo visual data transmission enabling robots to operate in complex and demanding industrial settings.
The Gemini 335Le is designed for industrial environments, featuring M12 X-coded and M8 A-coded interfaces for reliable data and power transmission. It offers IP67-rated protection against dust and water, ensuring durability in extreme conditions. With Power over Ethernet (PoE) and precision time protocol (PTP)-enabled synchronization, setup is simplified using a single cable. The device supports ROS1/ROS2, an open-source SDK, and is pre-integrated with NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin, Orin NX, Orin Nano, and AGX Xavier for AI-powered edge computing. Built for efficiency and reliability, the Gemini 335Le ensures seamless integration and stable performance in demanding industrial applications.
Orbbec also introduces Pulsar SL450, a cost-effective single-line LiDAR for robotics navigation. It is a high-accuracy, long-range LiDAR using direct Time of Flight (dToF) technology. Featuring a 270° scanning range and ≥45m detection capability, it delivers reliable positioning and navigation for robotics, logistics, security, and 3D reconstruction and is best suited for warehouse AMRs and autonomous forklifts and commercial service robots.
The Pulsar SL450 offers high-density point cloud scanning frequency up to 72 kHz with 0.075° angular resolution for detailed surface detection. It also provides precise environmental perception thanks to its multi-echo design that ensures accurate data feedback, even in dusty or foggy environments. The Pulsar SL450 delivers accurate and consistent mapping, maintaining strong ranging consistency across units for uniform map generation.
As a leading robotics and AI vision platform founded over a decade ago, Orbbec has deep expertise in delivering a comprehensive and cutting-edge range of solutions across structured light, stereo vision, LiDAR and dToF/iToF technologies.
“We are pleased to launch the Gemini 335Le and Pulsar SL450 at ProMat 2025 today in front of the best and brightest minds in material handling, supply chain, and logistics,” said Brad Suessmith, Robotics Sales Manager at Orbbec. “With the release of the Gemini 335Le incorporating Ethernet connectivity, Orbbec becomes the first in the industry to offer such comprehensive interface options. The versatility and flexibility provided by the Gemini 330 Series enables our customers to incorporate high-quality depth sensing into all of their robot designs, regardless of which interface they prefer to use.”
“In addition, ProMat 2025 is the perfect venue to debut our industrial LiDAR sensor, and we look forward to supporting advanced robotics navigation applications with the Pulsar SL450.”
