On the 64th founding anniversary of King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), it launched a research and development center in semiconductors, KAISEM. It is the first complete solution in Thailand, ready to drive target industries towards national development.
As the central laboratory, the KMITL Academy of Innovative Semiconductors (KAISEM) will bring together experts from various fields to collaborate to research semiconductor innovation, including electronic production processes, and develop new innovations to strengthen the potential of the Thai semiconductor electronics industry. KAISEM is a center for education and personnel development, leading KMITL towards being a sustainable, world-class innovation leader.
There is also academic cooperation with National Instruments Singapore, an engineering company. To manage the organization in an integrated and sustainable manner, aiming for excellence in education according to Global Leaning and Global Citizen guidelines by 2026, KAISEM will promote the production of graduates with high performance. Responding to the needs of the industrial sector and supporting the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), KAISEM will elevate the country’s development to the “Thailand 4.0” era.
