YRi-V TypeHS Advances SMT Processes with 25MP Camera, 3D Line Laser, and Enhanced 7μm/5μm Resolutions for Superior Accuracy in PCB Production.

Yamaha Robotics has announced a significant leap in Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) technology with the unveiling of the YRi-V TypeHS, a high-end specification to the YRi-V 3D hybrid AOI system. Set to launch on March 1st, 2024, the YRi-V TypeHS promises to revolutionize electronic component mounting with its exceptional speed and precision.

The YRi-V TypeHS features a high-resolution 25-megapixel camera, more than twice the resolution of its predecessors, along with the latest CPU and GPU applications, resulting in 1.6 times faster high-definition inspections with resolutions of 7 μm and 5 μm. This enhancement positions the YRi-V TypeHS as one of the fastest in the industry.

In addition to the existing 8-direction 3D projector, the YRi-V TypeHS introduces a high-performance 3D line laser for improved accuracy in detecting the shapes of specular and transparent components. This innovation contributes to greater detection capability for ultra-small chips and specular-glossy components, thereby elevating the quality of module and device PCB production.

The electronic industry, marked by a shift towards smaller sizes, higher densities, and greater functionality, demands faster and more precise inspections. The YRi-V TypeHS meets this need by offering accurate detection for 0201-sized ultra-small chips and specular glossy components, ensuring reliability in Surface Mounting Technology (SMT) processes.

Yamaha Robotics, known for its comprehensive 1 STOP SMART SOLUTION, offers a complete lineup of mounting equipment. The YRi-V TypeHS aligns with the company’s commitment to the Intelligent Factory concept, enhancing efficiency through seamless inter-equipment coordination in the mounting process.
