VeriSilicon, Google Partner for Open Se Cura AI Project

VeriSilicon Hits 100M Mark: NPU in Global AI Chips

VeriSilicon (688521.SH) has announced a collaboration with Google to support the newly launched open-source initiative, Project Open Se Cura. This collaboration aims to expedite the development of secure and efficient Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems through an open-source framework comprising design tools and IP libraries.

As part of this partnership, VeriSilicon brings its expertise in various domains, including IPs, low-power silicon design, Board Support Package (BSP), and commercialization, to fortify the infrastructure of Project Open Se Cura. The core of the project revolves around a secure, low-power ambient perception and sensing system based on the RISC-V ISA, integrating system management, machine learning, and hardware root of trust functions.

VeriSilicon’s contributions extend further to include a hardware platform for the project, encompassing SoC design, physical design, FPGA verification, board design, and chip production services. Additionally, VeriSilicon has open-sourced an Image Signal Processor (ISP) IP, facilitating developers to focus on specific application scenarios and conduct research and development of AI systems based on the provided hardware platform.

Wayne Dai, Chairman, President, and CEO of VeriSilicon, highlighted the growing need for secure and energy-efficient AI systems, especially with the increasing data influx in the digital landscape. Dai expressed VeriSilicon’s enthusiasm in contributing to Google’s Project Open Se Cura, emphasizing the commitment to using open hardware platforms to foster open-source software ecosystems.
