Mouser Electronics Inc., a New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor, has unveiled the latest installment of its Empowering Innovation Together (EIT) series, focusing on the revolutionary Matter protocol. The EIT series, renowned for bringing together global technology experts and industry leaders, will delve into all aspects of Matter, from its market introduction to design specifications.

 

Matter, backed by prominent semiconductor manufacturers such as NXP Semiconductors, Silicon Labs, STMicroelectronics, Schneider Electric, Texas Instruments, Infineon Technologies, Nordic Semiconductor, and Microchip Technology Inc., holds the promise of transforming the landscape of smart home technology. In this episode of the EIT series, Mouser Electronics aims to equip engineers and developers with the necessary knowledge to design products that harness the power of this groundbreaking standard.

 

The Matter series features two captivating episodes of The Tech Between Us podcast, hosted by Mouser’s Director of Technical Content, Raymond Yin. In these episodes, Yin engages in conversations with Chris LaPré, Chief Technical Officer at the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA), to provide insights into the market’s introduction to Matter and the compatibility of different types of smart home devices with the new standard. The discussions also shed light on the pivotal role played by CSA in advancing Matter and highlight the future focus areas of interest.
