Credo Unveils HiWire AECs for 400G AI/ML Networks at OFC 2024

Wireless & Networking news

Credo Technology Group Holding Ltd (“Credo”) (Nasdaq: CRDO), a pioneer in high-speed connectivity solutions, introduces a new line of HiWire Active Electrical Cables (AECs) designed for 400G AI/ML Backend Network Connections to Top of Rack (TOR) Switches.

The HiWire AEC family encompasses multiple configurations tailored to different TOR switch requirements, catering to 12.8T, 25.6Tb, and 51.2Tb TORs. These configurations aim to address the escalating data rates and bandwidth needs prevalent in the current data infrastructure landscape.

Don Barnetson, Vice President of Product at Credo, underlined the critical role of these AECs in facilitating seamless connectivity within 400G AI/ML backend networks. He emphasized the innovative in-cable speed shifting capabilities of HiWire AECs, enabling the utilization of legacy TORs and Y cable configurations for higher throughput TORs.

Credo will showcase the new HiWire AEC family at the Optical Fiber Conference (OFC) in San Diego, CA, from March 26 – 28, 2024. Conference attendees are encouraged to explore these cutting-edge devices at Credo’s booth (#3601).

The HiWire AECs are currently available for sampling, with production scheduled for Q3/2024.
