In addressing the escalating demands of contemporary workloads, the 5th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors offer amplified compute power, increased cores, and integrated accelerators, augmenting memory bandwidth and capacity. Astera Labs’ Leo CXL Smart Memory Controllers further enhance memory capabilities, enabling fine-grained heterogeneous interleaving of native CPU, DRAM, and CXL-attached memory. Astera Labs’ Aries PCIe/CXL Smart DSP Retimers, already extensively deployed in cloud and AI infrastructure, address the evolving challenges in connectivity amidst growing server density and the deployment of larger disaggregated architectures. Aries extends PCIe 5.0 reach by 3x, facilitating the deployment of compute and AI clusters for demanding workloads like Generative AI training. The solution, purpose-built for cloud and AI, integrates a low latency mode to optimize performance for latency-sensitive applications, ensuring seamless compatibility with CXL solutions like Leo.
