Sensorise Launches SenseProM – Remote SIM Provisioning (RSP) Platform for Consumer SIMs

Today, Sensorise, India’s leading IoT M2M player, announced the launch of the first M2M Remote SIM Provisioning (RSP) platform for consumer SIMs. This innovative platform allows users to manage eSIM profiles seamlessly without the need for physical SIM card changes.  Dr. Neeraj Mittal, Secretary of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), unveiled this platform at the Indian Mobile Congress 2024, Asia’s largest telecom event.

VoyX, a global travel eSIM solution, is the first to leverage the power of SenseProM. VoyX provides seamless connectivity in over 140 countries and is designed for frequent travelers, students, and professionals. It eliminates the need for physical SIM cards and offers flexible Local, Regional, and Global data packs.

The SenseProM platform is based on the GSMA consumer architecture SGP.22, ensuring a secure infrastructure with the essential SM-DP+ component. This allows users to download, activate, and switch between mobile network operators effortlessly, giving them full control over their connectivity options.

The SM-DP+ component introduces several key features that enhance security and efficiency in eSIM management. It ensures secure transmission by employing cryptographic techniques, safeguarding sensitive information, and maintaining data integrity during communication between the eSIM and mobile network operators. Profile management is another critical feature, overseeing the preparation and security of consumer profile data to mitigate the risks of data leakage. Additionally, SM-DP+ handles subscription oversight, managing subscription data to ensure eSIM devices receive the appropriate profiles for seamless connectivity. Finally, it includes lifecycle management, which monitors the entire lifecycle of profiles, from creation to deletion, while also providing real-time usage tracking.

Karn Nagpal, President of Rosmerta Technologies, said, “Introducing SenseProM at the Indian Mobile Congress 2024 is a significant step towards advancing mobile connectivity and making our products standards aware and aligned with the customers’ needs and roadmap. We are grateful to Dr. Neeraj Mittal, Secretary of the Department of Telecommunications, for launching this platform, which marks a pivotal moment for the industry. Post-certification of this new product, we plan to target the Indian handset manufacturers to enable them to introduce eSIM features.  We want to proliferate the consumer segment with our offerings as we have done in the M2M space”.

Vijaya Vivek Kamath, CEO of Sensorise, added, SenseProM enables our efforts in the export segment by enabling interoperability with overseas telcos. Our first launch is Consumer and will be followed by our M2M RSP. This platform is designed to enhance flexibility and user control, addressing the evolving needs of consumers while meeting the highest industry standards. We are confident that SenseProM will help us in growing our business both in India and abroad”.

Sensorise continues to push the boundaries of mobile technology, contributing to a future where global connectivity is more seamless, secure, and user-centric. As the telecom landscape evolves, innovations like SenseProM will play a crucial role in enabling individuals and businesses to stay connected across borders with ease. Sensorise’s commitment to enhancing mobile experiences is poised to make a lasting impact on both the Indian and international telecom markets.
