Velo3D Enlists Dr. Adrian Keppler’s Expertise for Board of Directors

Velo3D, a renowned metal additive manufacturing technology company, has recently appointed Dr. Adrian Keppler to its Board of Directors. This strategic move aims to leverage Dr. Keppler’s extensive experience and leadership in the additive manufacturing industry to bolster Velo3D’s global outreach, particularly in Europe.

 

With over 15 years as a C-level executive in the additive manufacturing sector, Dr. Keppler brings a wealth of knowledge and connections to the table. As the Founder and CEO of AM Scalation, a prominent additive manufacturing consulting company, he has been actively involved in helping OEMs, contract manufacturers, and end users scale production through 3D printing. Additionally, he serves as a Senior Advisor for Digital Manufacturing at H&Z, a leading Management Consultancy in Europe.

 

Dr. Keppler’s previous roles at EOS, a global 3D printing solutions provider, where he served as managing director, CEO, and CMO, underscore his industry expertise and strategic insights. Moreover, his experience at Siemens AG, leading a team of over 250 consultants responsible for €400 million in revenue, adds to his credibility in the field.

 

In his statement, Benny Buller, Velo3D Founder and CEO, expressed his confidence in Dr. Keppler’s ability to contribute to the company’s growth and ambitions in becoming a prominent manufacturer of laser powder bed fusion systems worldwide. Buller emphasized the growing adoption of Velo3D’s solutions in Europe and the potential to accelerate that growth with Dr. Keppler’s regional experience.

 

Dr. Keppler spoke of his excitement about joining Velo3D and supporting the company’s mission to enable customers to produce critical parts through additive manufacturing technology and scale their production across multiple printers.

 

Apart from his role at AM Scalation and H&Z, Dr. Keppler serves on the advisory boards of several 3D printer manufacturers and providers, such as Incus GmbH, AM-Flow, and Roboze. Additionally, he is an advisor to PartsCloud GmbH, a provider of cloud-based logistics for spare parts, and a member of the board of directors of Sun Metalon, Inc., a technology provider for metal recycling and high-speed metal 3D printing solutions.

 

Dr. Keppler’s qualifications include a PhD in Geotechnical Engineering from Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich and a degree in Business Administration from the University of Zurich, further highlighting his expertise in both technical and business aspects.
