Rayleigh Brings AI-Assisted Manufacturing to Drive Advancements in MicroLED Display Tech

Rayleigh Vision logo

MicroLED display technology firm, Rayleigh Vision makes advancement in AI-assisted manufacturing to streamline next-generation MicroLED displays production. This has improved Rayleigh Vision’s efficiency across the mass transfer, inspection and repair processes compared to industry standards.

These technologies have been transferred to a collaborating company, and it is expected to further enhance production efficiency after setting up a pilot production line in Taiwan.

MicroLED manufacturing is a complex process. With AI-driven solution, Rayleigh Vision addresses these challenges with a focus to facilitate the mass adoption of MicroLED displays in various applications, including smartphones, wearables, and advanced XR devices.

The company is also collaborating with both industry and academia to realize its advanced MicroLED technologies. Rayleigh Vision’s partnership with City University of Hong Kong and National Chung Cheng University has resulted in the development of a 4K blue MicroLED microdisplay with a pixel size of less than 2 micrometers. This opens up possibilities for more advanced applications, such as vertically stacked MicroLED displays, which have been identified as a promising solution by industry leaders like Samsung Display.

Professor Jr-Hau He from City University of Hong Kong, who is also the founder of Rayleigh Vision, expressed optimism about the company’s ability to shape the future of MicroLED technology. He emphasized that their AI-assisted manufacturing solution is just the beginning, and as they continue to refine their processes, they envision a future where MicroLED displays are not only more accessible but also more energy-efficient and visually impressive.
