Praan’s HIVE Launch Marks a Milestone in Home Air Quality Innovation

Praan HIVE

Praan, a DeepTech company recognized for its filterless air purifier MK II, has introduced a new domestic product, HIVE, aiming to redefine indoor air purification. Constructed with aircraft-grade aluminum, HIVE boasts a compact design and high-volume air purification capabilities, addressing concerns about trust and reliability in domestic air purifiers.

The HIVE air purifier utilizes H14-HEPA medical-grade filtration to effectively purify particulate matter and VOCs in spaces up to 345 sq. ft. Praan’s commitment to democratizing access to clean air is reflected in the manufacturing process, as the devices are produced in Mumbai using durable materials suitable for Indian households.

Equipped with dual fans, HIVE ensures efficient air purification in a sleek Space Grey color, offering users a best-in-class Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR). The advanced device also features sensors for monitoring Particulate Matter, VOC, Temperature, Humidity, CO2, and Ambient Sound, providing users with a comprehensive approach to environmental monitoring.

Angad Daryani, Founder & CEO at Praan, highlighted the motivation behind the launch, stating, “We introduced HIVE because we recognized a critical gap in the adoption of air purifiers in households.” Daryani emphasized the challenges of user confusion, limited space in Indian households, and the displacement of traditional floor-placed purifiers. HIVE aims to seamlessly integrate into users’ environments, serving both as a purifier and a statement piece.

In a commitment to social impact, Praan partnered with CADFEM to deploy HIVEs in low-income schools in Delhi, achieving an 88% improvement in air quality. The company plans to expand this impact to 10,000 low-income students in 2024. Praan’s dedication to impact is supported by venture capitalists and notable angel investors.

With global availability, HIVE ensures universal access to advanced air purification technology. Its versatile design allows for flexible installation on walls, ceilings, or the purpose-built HIVE Stand, accommodating various spatial requirements.

Backed by entities like Microsoft, Ansys, Autodesk, and the Marico Innovation Foundation, Praan continues to be at the forefront of innovation in clean air technologies. HIVE represents a notable addition to Praan’s portfolio, setting a new standard for indoor air purification.
