In response to the growing importance of security in the automotive industry, Telechips (KOSDAQ:054450), a leading automotive semiconductor solutions company, has achieved the Trusted Information Security Assessment eXchange (TISAX) certification. This certification, awarded by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), sets a benchmark for information security standards in the wake of advancements in autonomous driving and connectivity.

The evolving landscape of the automotive sector demands heightened security measures, especially with the increasing interconnectivity of vehicles. European automakers are now imposing stringent security standards on their suppliers to mitigate the risks associated with security breaches.

TISAX, a globally recognized security certification, was established by the German Association of the Automotive Industry to standardize security assessments based on ISO/IEC 27001 standards. It encompasses various aspects of security, including information security, partner security, data protection, and prototype protection. The certification process involves a meticulous review of the company’s internal security management system, requiring on-site inspections and visual confirmations at every stage. This rigorous evaluation ensures the absence of non-compliant elements, making the acquisition process highly challenging.

A representative from Telechips stated, “We are dedicated to developing a robust development process that prioritizes functionality, safety, and security in future mobility technology. Our objective is to manufacture automotive semiconductor products of the highest caliber, instilling trust in our global partners and customers. We remain committed to expanding our footprint in global markets, including Europe, supported by a robust security framework.”

Telechips has recently achieved various international standard certifications, including ASPICE (Automotive SPICE) and ISO 27001. The company is also in the process of obtaining certification for Automotive Cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434), underscoring its commitment to adhering to the highest industry standards. The ASPICE certification, acquired in April, is widely recognized in the European automotive sector and evaluates the reliability and capability of software development processes for automotive parts manufacturing companies.
