Lattice Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: LSCC), a provider of low-power programmable technology, has announced the appointment of Pravin Desale as Senior Vice President of Research & Development (R&D), effective immediately. This strategic move comes as Steve Douglass, who had held the position since 2018, transitions to the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO), with a mandate to oversee Lattice’s long-term technology strategy.

Pravin brings with him a wealth of experience, boasting more than 30 years in R&D and technology leadership roles, where he has successfully delivered intricate silicon, software, and application-centric solutions across various market verticals. Most recently, he served as the Senior Vice President of IoT Engineering at Semtech. Prior to Semtech, he held the role of Senior Vice President of Engineering at Sierra Wireless before the Semtech acquisition. Throughout his career, Pravin has also held significant technical leadership positions at Veritas Technologies, Seagate, and LSI Corporation.
He holds a Master of Electrical Engineering degree from Santa Clara University and a Bachelor of Electronics and Telecommunications degree from the College of Engineering Pune Technological University.
