The semiconductor company, Skorpios Technologies, Inc., which is a vertically integrated provider in heterogeneously integrated silicon photonics, enters into a strategic partnership with LuxshareTech, a manufacturer of Ethernet connectivity products. The partnership will help Luxsharetech to leverage Skorpios’ disruptive optical technology to provide optical modules at low prices.
The two companies will collaborate to produce compact optical engines with extremely high yield and rapid ramping for high volume mass production due to simplicity of manufacturing process. They will also cooperate on future products such as fully integrated 800G/1.6T silicon photonics modules for global customers.
