Silvaco Group, Inc. , a provider of TCAD, EDA software, and design IP, has announced its membership in GaN Valley, a European innovation ecosystem specializing in gallium nitride (GaN) technologies.
Gallium nitride, recognized for its high electron mobility, is a wide bandgap semiconductor extensively used in power electronics due to its superior performance characteristics. Silvaco’s participation in GaN Valley aims to contribute to the progression of efficient GaN power devices, offering innovative solutions through its Victory TCAD platform.
GaN Valley serves as a technology hub in Europe, addressing the industry’s growing demand for electronic systems requiring enhanced energy efficiency, reduced size, weight, and lower costs.
Silvaco’s Victory TCAD platform provides a comprehensive simulation environment, incorporating various numerical methods, physical models, SPICE model generation, and a user-friendly interface tailored for the latest generation of GaN-based semiconductor power devices. This facilitates engineers and researchers in efficiently designing and optimizing the performance of GaN power devices, incorporating AI methodologies for enhanced capabilities.
