Semtech Corporation (Nasdaq: SMTC), a high-performance semiconductor, IoT systems, and cloud connectivity service provider, has officially announced the appointment of Mark Lin as the company’s new Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This announcement comes as Mark Lin succeeds Emeka Chukwu in the role, with his appointment effective upon his commencement of employment with Semtech, which is expected no later than October 4, 2023.
Mark Lin brings a wealth of experience to his new role, with a significant background in public company capital structure, governance, financial planning and analysis, as well as mergers and acquisitions. Semtech’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Paul H. Pickle, expressed the company’s enthusiasm in welcoming Mark Lin to the executive team, highlighting the confidence in his ability to lead the financial operations of the organization into a dynamic business future.

Prior to joining Semtech, Mark Lin served as Vice President and Corporate Controller of MKS Instruments, Inc., a global provider of foundational technology solutions to leading-edge semiconductor manufacturing, electronics and packaging, and specialty industrial applications, since November 2019. His experience also includes a tenure at Microsemi Corporation, a provider of semiconductor and system solutions, from June 2005 until July 2019. During his time at Microsemi Corporation, Mark Lin held various accounting and finance roles, culminating in his position as Vice President, Finance, and Corporate Controller, which he assumed in 2014.
Mark Lin holds a Bachelor of Arts in business-economics from the University of California, Los Angeles, and is a certified public accountant.
