California-based semiconductor-based connectivity solutions for AI and cloud infrastructure firm, Astera Labs, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALAB) appoints Bethany Mayer to its board of directors. An industry veteran, Bethany brings over three decades of experience as a leader and board member at networking, cybersecurity and semiconductor companies.
CEO and co-founder of Astera Labs, Jitendra Mohan commented on Bethay’s appointment, “Bethany brings a wide range of technology and leadership experiences at both global corporations and tech start-ups to Astera Labs, and we are pleased to welcome her to the board of directors. Her expertise will be highly valuable as we continue to scale Astera Labs at a rapid pace to execute our mission to unleash the potential of AI and cloud infrastructure.”
In her previous role, Bethany was the president and CEO of Ixia (NASDAQ: XXIA) and drove its growth in key new markets, resulting in its acquisition by Keysight Technologies Inc. Before this, she was associated with HP Inc’s networking business unit as its senior vice president and general manager. At Blue Coat Systems, Bethany served as the senior vice president, marketing and product management, while at Cisco and Apple, she held leadership roles in product development.
Currently, Bethany is also the Chair of Box, Inc, and sits on the boards of HP Enterprises, LAM Research Corporation, and Sempra Energy. She also served on the board of Ixia and Marvell Technology previously.
Bethany holds a BS from Santa Clara University, an MBA from California State University, Monterey Bay and an MS in Cybersecurity from New York University.
