X-ray-analysis solutions provider, Rigaku, opens Rigaku Taiwan Branch (RCTW) to fortify ties, technical support, and innovation in semiconductor and related industries.
In a strategic move to bolster its commitment to advancing the semiconductor electronics, life sciences, and material science ecosystem, Rigaku announces the inauguration of Rigaku Taiwan Branch (RCTW). This expansion signifies Rigaku’s dedication to fostering collaboration and innovation, particularly in Taiwan, a pivotal hub for technological advancements in various sectors.
RCTW aims to provide robust technical support to Taiwanese customers, reinforcing collaborative efforts in semiconductor development, including partnerships with key foundries and high-volume production fabs. The outreach extends to critical sectors such as Biotech, Pharmaceutical, Chemistry, and academic institutions.
Dr. Kiyoshi Ogata, Senior Executive Vice President, and General Manager of Rigaku Corporation, emphasizes the increasing need for closer collaboration with customers in the face of rapid technological innovations. Ogata notes, “Facilitating closer collaboration enables technical teams of RCTW to work alongside customers seamlessly and in close proximity to Rigaku R&D and Manufacturing in Japan.”
Heading the new Taiwan and China organization is Sam Chao, President of Greater China Semiconductor and Metrology Division, bringing over 30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry and capital equipment in the APAC semiconductor market.
As a testament to Rigaku’s commitment, plans are underway for the Rigaku Taiwan Technical Center. This center, featuring demonstration facilities and state-of-the-art laboratories, aims to accelerate development processes and provide faster turnaround times for customers. Chao expresses enthusiasm about deepening working relationships with Taiwanese customers through this initiative.
