Massachusetts-based APITech, the provider of high-performance RF and microwave signal conditioning and electromagnetic spectrum management solutions, brings about a transition in its CEO position. It has appointed industry veteran Rich Sorelle as its new CEO, effective immediately as Terrence Hahn steps down from his role as the CEO. Terrence will continue to serve as a member of AEA Investors’ Senior Advisory Council.
Rich brings with him over 35 years of experience in operations and management in the defense electronics industry. Most recently, he was the CEO and Chairman of the Board od Abaco Systems, a commercial-off-the-shelf supplier to the defense, industrial and commercial markets. He also oversaw the sale of the company to Ametek Corp in 2021. Before this, Rich was with ITT Exelis for nearly two decades, where he drove significant growth and success for their Electronic Systems division prior to the sale of the company to Harris Corporation. He served as President of Electronic Systems from 2012 – 2016 after holding positions including Director of Electronic Warfare Systems and Vice President and General Manager of ITT Electronic Systems Division.
