In a significant move to fortify its presence in India, Jason Chen, the Chairman and CEO of Acer, announced strategic initiatives during his visit aimed at bolstering growth and innovation in the burgeoning Indian market.
Jason reaffirmed Acer’s dedication to the Indian market by unveiling plans that extend beyond traditional computing, with a focus on strategic expansion into various segments such as consumer electronics, eMobility, and AI PCs. Acer aims to cater to local needs by introducing air and water purifiers tailored specifically for the Indian market.
Aligning with the ‘Make in India’ initiative, Acer showcased its commitment to local manufacturing by partnering with Indian ODMs. Over the past two decades, Acer has been a staunch supporter of ‘Make in India,’ manufacturing a wide range of IT hardware products locally, with an annual capacity exceeding 3 million units.
Expressing optimism about the Indian market, Jason remarked, “Acer recognizes the tremendous potential the Indian market offers. We are committed to providing cutting-edge technology, including AI PCs, that aligns seamlessly with the evolving needs of Indian consumers through conscious technology.”

At the recent Dubai COP28 Acer Global Press Conference, the company unveiled its “Conscious Technology” vision, emphasizing the creation of technology with future considerations in mind. Acer’s commitment to sustainability is evident through initiatives such as achieving carbon neutrality for its Aspire Vero laptop line, starting with the latest Aspire Vero 16 model. The company has also pledged to attain net-zero emissions by 2050 and aims to use 20-30% post-consumer recycled plastic in its computers and monitors by 2025.
