IPC, the leading association for the electronics manufacturing industry, is gearing up to host the 2nd Annual Integrated Electronics Manufacturing & Interconnections (IEMI) event in India. Following the tremendous success of last year’s inaugural event, IPC has decided to bring together designers, manufacturers, traders, suppliers, service providers, and technical experts once again to explore new business opportunities and exchange technical knowledge.

The IEMI event will be held in two major cities in India. The first event will take place in Chennai on August 1, followed by the second event in Pune on August 3. This year, IPC India has collaborated with various chambers of commerce and trade associations within the country to organize visits from international delegates representing countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, South Africa, the Middle East, and Israel.

The event promises a multitude of activities and features aimed at fostering collaboration and growth in the electronics manufacturing industry. Highlights include a welcome address from State Ministers, keynote speeches from industry leaders and experts, panel discussions, a vendor development program, business-to-business meetings with international delegates, a skills challenge competition, standards development meetings, an exhibition, an awards ceremony, and a networking lunch.

IEMI Chennai will place a particular emphasis on the aerospace and defense market sector, while IEMI Pune will focus on the electric vehicle (EV) automotive sector. This targeted approach aims to address the specific needs and challenges faced by these industries and promote innovation and collaboration within them.

A wide range of renowned companies will be exhibiting at the event, including JBC, HTL, Ray-Q, Indium, Mectronics, Advance Tech, Prodigy, Japan Unix, Zeiss, Vinrox, Signum, Static Systems, Miracle, Sumitron/Hakko, Nanotech, Biometric Cables, and many more. These exhibitors will showcase their latest products, technologies, and services, providing attendees with valuable insights into the latest advancements in the field.

John Mitchell, the President and CEO of IPC, expressed his optimism about the event, stating, “We are expecting 1,000+ visitors from India and an additional 10 countries to this year’s event. India is a dynamic market for the global manufacturing industry, and IEMI proves that. I am confident that IEMI 2023 will help attendees expand their business prospects and forge new strategic partnerships while there!”

Gaurab Majumdar, the Executive Director of IPC India, highlighted the significance of the Vendor Development Program/Sourcing Meet, which will be a major attraction at IEMI 2023. Majumdar emphasized IPC’s commitment to supporting the growth and development of Indian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by improving their market access. IPC aims to collaborate with Indian and global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to connect them with potential electronics manufacturing services (EMS) and wire harness suppliers, facilitating mutually beneficial partnerships.

As the electronics manufacturing industry continues to thrive, IPC’s IEMI event serves as a platform to foster innovation, collaboration, and business growth. With its diverse range of activities and participants, the event is expected to drive significant advancements in the sector and further strengthen India’s position as a global manufacturing hub.
