INFICON, a prominent provider of semiconductor smart manufacturing solutions, has successfully acquired all assets of FabTime Inc, based in San Luis Obispo, CA/USA, effective January 18, 2024. The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Founded in 1999, FabTime specializes in cycle time management software and consulting services tailored for semiconductor manufacturers. Its solutions are utilized by front-end and back-end factories across North America and more than 15 countries worldwide, enabling improvements in cycle time, capacity, productivity, and profitability.
The integration of FabTime’s assets into INFICON’s growing Smart Manufacturing suite aims to bolster its capabilities in delivering autonomous semiconductor manufacturing. The combined expertise of INFICON and FabTime now positions them as a comprehensive provider of industrial engineering software solutions in the semiconductor industry.
INFICON’s CEO, Oliver Wyrsch, expressed optimism about the acquisition, stating, “We are excited to welcome FabTime.
