Vietnam’s FPT Corporation has taken a significant step toward enhancing its global presence by acquiring US-based company Cardinal Peak. This strategic move is aimed at bolstering FPT’s product engineering capabilities, particularly in the competitive North American market. Cardinal Peak, with its 20 years of experience, brings a wealth of expertise in providing end-to-end product engineering services, encompassing hardware, embedded software, IoT, cloud, and mobile product development. The acquisition provides FPT with access to a pool of 100 skilled experts and establishes a physical foothold in the United States.
While Cardinal Peak will maintain its independent status, the collaboration will enable the company to tap into FPT’s expanded service offerings and global delivery options. FPT is poised to capitalize on this synergy, with plans to double its product engineering services revenue in the Americas within the next two years. The acquisition aligns with FPT’s overarching strategy of strengthening its consulting capabilities and consolidating its position as a leading player in the global IT industry.
The signing ceremony, held in Hanoi, Vietnam, was attended by key executives from both FPT and Cardinal Peak. FPT Corporation CEO Nguyen Van Khoa expressed confidence in the collaboration’s potential, emphasizing its role in fostering innovation and contributing significantly to the advancement of Vietnam’s IT sector. This move builds upon FPT’s history of strategic acquisitions, reflecting the company’s commitment to expanding its expertise and market presence on a global scale.
