EnCharge AI, a developer of advanced AI chips and full-stack solutions, has announced the addition of Don Rosenberg to its Board of Directors and Jonny Morris as Vice President of Government Affairs and Communications. These strategic appointments follow a successful oversubscribed funding round, totaling $45 million, aimed at bolstering EnCharge AI’s full-stack AI chipset.

 

As a new board member, Don Rosenberg is set to play a crucial role in supporting EnCharge’s technological and product advancement as the company brings forth its next-generation in-memory computing technology. With an extensive leadership background at tech giants like Qualcomm, Apple, and IBM, Rosenberg’s expertise in global legal matters, government affairs, and innovation policy positions him to contribute significantly to EnCharge’s strategic growth.

 

Rosenberg’s accomplishments include retirement as Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary at Qualcomm, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s strategic direction and policy initiatives. He brings a wealth of experience in semiconductor and technology landscapes, reflected in his current roles as a venture partner at Anzu Partners and a Fellow in Residence at UCSD’s Center on Global Transformation.

 

Expressing enthusiasm for joining EnCharge’s Board, Rosenberg highlighted the company’s pivotal role in delivering high-performance AI solutions across diverse industry landscapes. His addition amplifies the already esteemed Board, comprising academic and industry luminaries, including EnCharge AI co-founders CEO Naveen Verma, COO Echere Iroaga, and Jimmy Kan, partner at Anzu Partners.

 

Simultaneously, Jonny Morris joins EnCharge from his tenure at Embark Technology, Inc., where he led corporate affairs and public policy for autonomous vehicles. With a track record of navigating regulatory frameworks and policy development, Morris brings a wealth of expertise in guiding technology innovation through government partnerships.

 

In his role at EnCharge, Morris aims to leverage the company’s innovative full-stack solutions to address critical energy, cost, and national security implications of AI. His previous experiences negotiating policy frameworks for autonomous vehicles align with EnCharge’s mission to ensure the sustainability, accessibility, and security of AI applications.

 

Naveen Verma, CEO of EnCharge AI, expressed excitement over the team’s expansion, emphasizing the strengthened foundation of technical and commercial expertise.
