Babilon-Mobile, one of the leading mobile operators in Tajikistan, signed a deal with a leading global manufacturer of LTE and 5G wireless connectivity solutions provider, Baicells. It will provide hundreds of 4G and 5G base stations in the cities of Dushanbe, Khujand, and others. The base stations are to be stationed within three months as per the plan of Babilon-Mobile.
The disruptive price, large support team, and the ability to transition to 5G, are the reasons for which Babilon-Mobile selected Baicells’ innovative products for this deployment. When compared to traditional solutions, some of the most cost-effective base stations in the world bring down the total cost of ownership up to 40 to 50%, which will increase Babilon-Mobile’s return on investment. Baicells base stations will come fully equipped with the ability for Babilon-Mobile to upgrade the network to 5G in the near future, protecting the mobile company’s investment.
The deal will hasten the mobile market in Tajikistan. New communities will be able to access 4G and development in wireless infrastructure to enable 5G in the future.
