Allient Inc. Expands Power Solutions Portfolio with Acquisition of SNC Manufacturing

ZMC Absorbs American Semiconductor Silicon Solutions & Services Firm Pure Wafer

In a strategic move to bolster its position in the precision Motion, Controls, and Power products market, Allient Inc. (Nasdaq: ALNT) has announced the acquisition of SNC Manufacturing Co., Inc. (SNC), a leading global manufacturer of electrical transformers. The deal aims to extend Allient’s influence into key sectors such as defense, industrial automation, and renewable energy, while reinforcing its capabilities in power quality solutions.

SNC, founded in 1946 and headquartered in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, brings a wealth of experience and approximately 440 employees across three locations. With a revenue of about $40 million in the trailing twelve months, SNC’s offerings align seamlessly with Allient’s strategic goals.

Richard S. Warzala, Chairman, President, and CEO of Allient, expressed confidence in the acquisition, emphasizing the value SNC brings to the Allied Power pillar. “This addition not only expands our reach in the clean power industry but also strengthens our presence in crucial markets. We are excited to welcome SNC’s leadership team and workforce to the Allient family,” Warzala stated.

The move also marks a transition in leadership, with Jim Koepke, the current President and COO of SNC, assuming the role of VP and General Manager of the newly formed Technology Unit within Allient. The transition is anticipated to facilitate a seamless integration of SNC’s expertise into Allient’s operations.

John Vette III, who led and owned SNC for over 50 years, expressed confidence in Allient as the torchbearer for SNC’s legacy. “We selected Allient to carry the legacy of SNC forward. Under the leadership of Ashish Bendre and Jim Koepke, we anticipate accelerated growth and success for Allied Power with this new addition,” Vette stated.
