The OPPO Find X7 Ultra has become the first device to earn DXOMARK’s Eye Comfort Display Label. This accolade, along with the DXOMARK Gold Display Label, highlights the device’s commitment to both high screen quality and comprehensive eye comfort. Known as a top-tier camera phone, the Find X7 Ultra’s display combines clear detail, smooth motion, and vibrant colors to create a visually pleasing experience while minimizing potential eye strain.
The DXOMARK Eye Comfort Display Label is awarded to screens that meet four specific criteria set by DXOMARK’s engineering team. The first requirement involves limiting perceivable flicker, with the detection probability needing to be below 50% in default mode or with anti-flicker mode activated. The Find X7 Ultra achieves a flicker perception probability of 10%.
The second criterion ensures eye comfort in low-light environments, requiring a minimum brightness of 2 nits. The Find X7 Ultra’s display can dim to 1.57 nits, reducing harsh light and extreme visual contrast for nighttime use. The third requirement limits blue light exposure, with a circadian action factor of less than 0.65 to reduce disruptions to sleep patterns. The Find X7 Ultra has a circadian action factor of 0.63.
Lastly, the display must maintain at least 95% color consistency when the blue light filter is active, using the P3 color space as a reference. The Find X7 Ultra achieves 99% color consistency. Thibault Cabana, DXOMARK Display Evaluation Director, noted the device’s Bedtime Mode, which adjusts blue light filtering according to the time of day.
In addition to its eye comfort features, the Find X7 Ultra has a QHD+ resolution of 3168 x 1440, resulting in a pixel density of 510 pixels per inch. The display supports a dynamic refresh rate from 1 to 120Hz and features a peak brightness of 1600 nits, extending to 4500 nits locally. It supports high dynamic range content, including Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG standards.
