Marktech Optoelectronics has unveiled a new line of UVC LEDs mounted on starboards, aiming to streamline the prototyping process for engineers. These LEDs, available in 235nm and 255nm variants, promise to accelerate the development of sensors, instruments, and sanitizers.
The innovative design integrates UVC LEDs onto metal-cored printed circuit boards, eliminating the need for engineers to navigate the intricacies of PCB design and assembly. This plug-and-play solution allows for swift evaluation of LED performance in various applications, from water quality sensors to UV-vis spectrometers.
Packaged in Marktech’s proprietary ATLAS hermetic SMD package, these LEDs offer exceptional environmental protection in a compact form factor. They are available with flat or dome lenses, providing versatility in viewing angles.
Key benefits of Marktech’s UVC LEDs on starboards include rapid prototyping, high efficiency, safety, durability, and eco-friendliness. With Silanna Safe™ 235nm emitting chips, these LEDs ensure power efficiency while minimizing health risks associated with higher wavelength UVC LEDs.
Vince Forte, Chief Technology Officer of Marktech Optoelectronics, stated, “This launch signifies a milestone in germicidal UV applications. By offering advanced UVC LEDs on starboards, we aim to empower designers to bring efficient solutions to market quickly.”
The UVC LEDs on starboards are now available for order.
