Paragraf, a pioneering figure in graphene technology, has opened an online store, marking a significant step in providing global access to its cutting-edge electronics. The company, recognized as the world’s sole mass producer of graphene electronics using conventional semiconductor processes, has unveiled a new platform for customers worldwide to acquire its innovative Graphene-based Field Effect Transistor (GFET).
GFETs hold immense promise across various sectors, including industrial, medical, and chemical testing applications. Paragraf’s proprietary graphene growth process ensures the production of GFETs with distinct advantages over transfer-graphene products, boasting high graphene purity, absence of polymer or metal contaminants, and a single-atom-thick layer conformity.
Mark Davis, Director of Biosensors at Paragraf, expressed optimism about the launch of Paragraf’s GFET solution, emphasizing its potential in enabling the development of reliable and repeatable biochemical tests worldwide. Davis highlighted the significance of Paragraf’s foundry, which enables the reliable production of high volumes of GFETs each month, ensuring widespread availability of the GFET-PV01 to customers globally.
The GFET-PV01, Paragraf’s flagship product, is an electrolyte-gated FET mass-produced with a proprietary technique that eliminates the need for transfer processing. This innovation results in graphene channels devoid of polymers, foreign molecules, or defects. Featuring a central gate electrode surrounded by three equidistant graphene channels, the GFET-PV01 facilitates consistent measurement and allows for reliable manual or automated functionalization of each channel, supporting multiplexing and internal referencing. Additionally, encapsulation layers facilitate liquid handling during use, while the device remains compatible with standard data acquisition systems.
Key features of Paragraf’s GFET-PV01 include its contaminant-free, monolayer graphene electrochemical sensor, mass production capabilities adhering to industry-leading specifications, and its design tailored for automated or manual functionalization of graphene channels. The device is multi-ohmic and multiplex detection capable, ensuring versatility in various applications.
Paragraf stands as the first company to mass-produce graphene-based electronic devices using standard semiconductor processes. Leveraging its proprietary graphene growth process, the company continues to explore the full potential of this remarkable material across a spectrum of applications, including magnetic sensors, GFETs, and ongoing developments in semiconductor devices.
