Murata Manufacturing reveals the GJM022 series, touted as the world’s smallest high-Q rated monolithic ceramic chip capacitors (MLCC) with a 100V voltage rating. These capacitors, measuring 0.4mm × 0.2mm LW, are crafted to meet the demands of 5G communication modules, allowing electronic engineers to overcome packaging constraints while ensuring optimal performance.
Engineers can now seamlessly integrate numerous high frequency outputs and power amplifiers into their designs, emphasizing the need for modularization in wireless communication circuits. The GJM022 series leverages state-of-the-art thin-layer forming and high-precision laminating technologies, resulting in a miniaturized capacitor that does not compromise performance.
The compact size of the GJM022 series addresses packaging limitations, offering engineers greater flexibility in design. Additionally, the high temperature guarantee ensures reliable long-term operation, making it suitable for applications in close proximity to heat-emitting components, such as power semiconductors.
Nakagawa Hidetoshi, General Manager at Murata, emphasizes the GJM022 series’ role in supporting the performance improvements of 5G technology: “With the GJM022/100V series, we have listened to the market’s technical demands and met them head on.” Engineer samples are currently available, with the GJM022/100V series in limited production.
