Tata Electronics is set to conduct a substantial recruitment drive aiming to hire 1,000 candidates, specifically focusing on technician roles for the Final Assembly Testing and Packaging (FATP) facility located in Narasapur, near Bengaluru, Karnataka.
With ambitious intentions, Tata Electronics Private Limited has proposed the establishment of a semiconductor processing plant in Assam, with an earmarked investment of Rs 40,000 crore. The proposed plant, designated for Jagiroad, will concentrate on assembly and packaging, necessitating 1,000 trained youths to fulfill the upcoming manpower needs.
The proposed significant investment by Tata Electronics in Assam is anticipated to have a substantial impact on the state’s industrial development. This initiative is seen as a potential catalyst to further enhance Assam’s attractiveness in the industrial sector, following recent efforts to attract investments.
CM Himanta Biswa Sarma highlighted the communication from the Tata Group emphasizing the requirement for 1,000 trained youths. He emphasized the industry’s dependence on skilled manpower and commended the Tata Group’s proactive stance in preparing a workforce ahead of the plant’s establishment.
Following constructive discussions with the Assam government, Tata Electronics Pvt. Limited is swiftly advancing its plans for the semiconductor plant in Jagiroad, dedicated to assembling and packaging semiconductors. This step holds the promise of not only fortifying industrial infrastructure but also fostering employment opportunities and driving economic growth in the region.
