Wind River, a provider of mission-critical intelligent systems software, has announced a strategic collaboration with Horizon Robotics, a provider of energy-efficient computing solutions for advanced driver assist systems (ADAS) in China. The partnership aims to drive the advancement of smart driving solutions, offering original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) a fully integrated ADAS hardware/software solution that streamlines development and integration processes.
Horizon Robotics is known for pioneering embedded passenger-vehicle ADAS and automated driving products in China, with its Journey series computing solutions covering various automated driving scenarios. By combining their core capabilities, Horizon Robotics will integrate Wind River software, including VxWorks, a highly performant real-time operating system (RTOS), Wind River Helix Virtualization Platform, a safety-certified Type 1 hypervisor-based multi-tenant platform, Wind River Linux, and Wind River Studio, into its Journey series product.
