Keysight Technologies, a leading technology company, has achieved validation for Qualcomm’s QRU100 5G RAN Platform through the Qualcomm Development Acceleration Resource Toolkit (QDART). This validation empowers vendors of Open RAN Radio Units (O-RU) and gNodeBs (gNB) to verify their products using Qualcomm’s 5G RAN Platforms during the design and production process.
Open RAN network architectures offer mobile operators greater flexibility, agility, cost reduction, and enhanced security by separating software from hardware through open interfaces and virtualization. The Qualcomm QRU100 5G RAN Platform is an energy-efficient and high-capacity solution designed specifically for 5G Open RAN infrastructures. It supports 5G massive MIMO deployments in the sub-6GHz and millimeter wave frequency ranges.
The validation from Keysight provides device vendors utilizing the Qualcomm QRU100 5G RAN Platform with a virtual instrument systems architecture (VISA) software library. This software library facilitates efficient communication between the device under test (DUT) and the test instrument across any input/output (I/O) software layer.
Keysight’s comprehensive portfolio of instruments and software, validated through the Qualcomm Development Acceleration Resource Toolkit, includes vector signal generators, wireless test sets, vector signal analyzers, network analyzers, 5G multi-band vector transceivers, and handheld analyzers.
